Clueless another 2000s classic about, shallow, rich, and socially successful Cher is at the top of her Beverly Hills high school's pecking scale. Seeing herself as a matchmaker, Cher first coaxes two teachers into dating each other. Emboldened by her success, she decides to give hopelessly klutzy new student Tai a makeover. When Tai becomes more popular than she is, Cher realizes that her disapproving ex-stepbrother was right about how misguided she is and falls for him.
The Title at the top, immediately draws attention, especially with the contrast of the red and black.
By the girl being in the middle we know that she is the main character and by the red dress she is wearing which highlights her. The boots, the stairs, everything is very minimalistic and classy which is what they are trying to achieve with this poster.
The expectations for the movie are wealthy teenage girls whose issues are money, clothes, and popularity. It suggests that the genres of the film are comedy and drama as the girls don’t look that smart either.
Although the text on top of the poster usually works, I wouldn’t do it on this poster because we can tell what the movie will be about by the clothes, they are which look very expensive. By the characters in the back and the books they are holding we, know they are also teenage girls, and this will also have a big take on school. The text on the bottom is too small and we can barely see the release date of the film also the color pattern doesn’t match as we can barely see what is it saying. The purple carpet in the back also doesn’t make any sense I would make it black.
Although this is a good poster and gives us everything we need to know about the film, there are some details that I mentioned previously that I need to pay extra attention because these little things that don’t make sense could confuse the audience on the message you are trying to give of the film.
