Researching into the minor task, I decided to look into more iconic comedies/High school productions from the 2000s that are classics.
The hangover is a movie about three buddies who wake up from a bachelor party in Las Vegas, with no memory of the previous night and the bachelor missing. They make their way around the city in order to find their friend before his wedding.
The poster for this production consists of using a font that is very bright and the text used at the top sets the place ( Las Vegas). The dirty clothes, missing tooth, and the random bay show that something happened creating suspense and curiosity, giving the feeling of what the movie will feel like.
The poster creates this expectation that everyone already has made in their heads of the setting, Las Vegas is place a place to party, have fun, "what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas". By the clothes that they are wearing we can see that held that statement through that trip. Making us feel intrigues and excited about the film.
When creating my poster I want to be thinking about these same conventions. I want to transmit the emotions that were raised while watching the trailer through, my poster.
How can I make the audience intrigued and excited about the production while also transmitting those emotions?
